Coming this May 2023, Honda Leander, in exclusive partnership with Leander ISD, will host a HUGE celebration of the Class of 2023 to give away a BRAND NEW 2023 HONDA to one lucky graduating senior from a Leander ISD High School or Alternative School.

Honda Leander’s mission is to give back to the community that is supporting us by supporting our future. Super Star Cool Car is a program that recognizes all of your hard work and will help make your next journey a little sweeter.

SUPER STAR COOL CAR (“GIVEAWAY”)
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. HONDA LEANDER AND THE LEANDER ISD OR ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL (THE “SPONSORS”) WILL BE GIVING AWAY A 2023 HONDA HR-V TO AN ELIGIBLE STUDENT OF THE LEANDER ISD OR ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL WITH A SENIOR STUDENT CLASSIFICATION DURING THE 2022 AND 2023 SCHOOL YEAR. THE NAME OF THE ELIGIBLE HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR WILL BE DRAWN ON MAY 21, 2023 (THE “DRAWING”). THE STUDENT MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE AND MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. THE GIVEAWAY IS ONLY VALID DURING THE 2022/2023 SCHOOL YEAR. PARTICIPATION IN THIS GIVEAWAY IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR OTHERWISE RESTRICTED BY LAW.

1. HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. ELIGIBLE STUDENTS WILL BE ENTERED UPON STUDENT/PARENTAL/GUARDIAN CONSENT AND APPROVAL. The principals of each high school participating in this Giveaway shall review eligibility (based upon Leander ISD requirements) of each high school senior that is eligible to graduate and select 20 high school seniors from their school. The principal will notify those students and/or parent/guardian to receive the student/parent/guardian’s consent for the student to be entered into the Drawing. Student must be present at time of drawing to win.

2. ELIGIBILITY: Giveaway is only open to eligible high school students Leander IDS or an Alternative School within the Leander, Texas district, who have a valid driver’s license at the time of the Drawing and who have met their respective school’s eligibility requirements to be deemed a senior high school student in good standing. Sponsors and each of their respective family members of and any persons domiciled with are not eligible to enter or to win. The term “family members” includes siblings, children, grandchildren and in-laws and individuals residing in their same household (whether or not related) are not eligible to participate or win. This Giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

3. PRIZE: 2023 Honda HR-V.
Prize does not include any other item or expense not specifically described in these official rules, however, the prize may vary based on availability. Additional expenses, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prize may not be transferred nor redeemable for cash. Only the prize indicated will be awarded and no substitutions or cash equivalents or redemption will be made, except that Honda Leander reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater financial value if any advertised prize (or any component thereof) becomes unavailable. Winner agrees to accept the prize “as is” and hereby acknowledges that, as applicable, Sponsor (as defined below) may provide the contest winner with an IRS form 1099 during the relative tax season. Each winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes.
Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the prize awarded: $ 24,895.00

4. ODDS OF WINNING: 1 out of 120 entries

5. DRAWING: One (1) potential winner of the Giveaway will be randomly chosen from the 120 combined eligible high school graduating seniors, of which 20 from each of the six (6) Leander ISD or Alternative School was selected previously by their principal. The Drawing will take place on or about May 21, 2023 and conducted by a random drawing held and performed at Honda Leander, of which the decision is final and binding. The winning name of the eligible high school senior shall be pulled from a drum containing all of the 120 names of the previously selected eligible high school seniors (the” Winner”).

The Winner must take delivery of the Prize within seven (7) days from the date of the Drawing, otherwise the prize will be forfeited, unless other suitable arrangements can be made. By consenting to be entered into the Drawing, you agree that the decisions of Sponsors are final. Winner must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these official rules and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. In the event that a Winner is disqualified for any reason, the prize associated with that Winner shall be forfeited and will be un-awarded. Winner may be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release (“Affidavit”).

6. GENERAL RULES: Sponsors reserve the right to use any and all information related to the Giveaway, including information regarding the entrants obtained through the Giveaway, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law. Any taxes not previously agreed to be paid by any of the Sponsors are the responsibility of the Winner. The Winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release Sponsors and Released Parties as defined below, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, employees and advertising agencies from any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize. Additional rules and regulations may apply.

7. RELEASE: By receipt of the Prize, Winner agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsors, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such companies’ officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death or damage to or loss of property, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, arising out of participation in the Giveaway or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

8. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Giveaway; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Giveaway; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Giveaway or the processing of entries; (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail; or (6) any injury or
damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Giveaway or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

9. PUBLICITY: Except where prohibited, participation in the Giveaway constitutes Winner’s consent to Sponsors and their agents’ use of Winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration.

10. GENERAL CONDITIONS: Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Giveaway, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsors’ reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Giveaway, as determined by the Sponsors in their sole discretion. Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway or to be acting in violation of these official rules or any other Giveaway or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Giveaway may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and should such an attempt be made, Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsors failure to enforce any term of these official rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. The administrator of this Giveaway, in its sole discretion may for any reason and without notice to entrants change the Giveaway’s official rules and will post such changes conspicuously at Sponsors’ location at the time they become effective.

11. DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Giveaway or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Western District or the appropriate State Court located in Williamson County, Texas; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Giveaway, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these official rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsors in connection with the Giveaway, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Texas without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Texas or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Texas.
